Steady Pacing Powers a Strong Sprint Finish Roman Betts completed the sprint triathlon in 1:58:59, finishing 241st overall out of 570 and 29th in the competitive 20-29 male division. His swim came in at 21:09, transitioning efficiently into a bike leg that averaged roughly 14.4 mph over 13.17 miles, a solid, consistent effort that held his position mid-pack throughout the ride. Off the bike, Roman moved through T2 in just 1:41, one of the quicker transitions in his group, before settling into a 35:52 run split. His pacing on the run stayed fairly even, holding around 11-12 minute miles in the closing stretch. Overall, Roman's day showed balanced execution across all three disciplines for his next race, sharpening bike speed slightly could help him climb further into the top-tier finishers in his division.
