Consistent Swim and Bike Power Fuel a Determined Finish John opened his day with a steady 27:23 swim before transitioning into a bike leg where he averaged roughly 16.7 mph across the course, showing solid, sustained power output through the ride. His transitions were efficient, particularly a brisk T2 that kept his momentum rolling into the run. The run told a story of two halves: John started strong with a 10:48 pace over the first mile, but that pace gradually eased to around 12:38 per mile through the middle milescommon as fatigue sets in after a hard bike effort. He found another gear late, closing out with a 5:30 split before an explosive final sprint to the line. Finishing in 3:25:31, John placed 113th in his division, capping off a race defined by a strong bike leg and a gutsy final kick on the run.
