Speedy Swim and Strong Bike Set Up a Steady Olympic Finish Michael Stucki opened his race with an outstanding swim, finishing 53rd overall and 6th in his division a clear strength to build on. He carried that momentum onto the bike, holding a brisk 19.1 mph pace that kept him inside the top 100 overall through most of the ride, a strong showing of sustained power on two wheels. The run proved more challenging, with his pace easing in the closing miles as he settled into the 8:3010:00 min/mile range before slowing further near the finish. This continued a familiar pattern for Michael at Spudman: his 2:42:59 finish improved on his 2025 time (2:44:38) but landed short of his 2024 best (2:38:28). Sharpening run endurance in the final third of the race could help him close the gap between his strong bike splits and overall finish time in future races.
