Strong Bike Split Powers a Steady Olympic-Distance Effort Clark posted a 22:34 swim and moved through both transitions in under three minutes combined (2:43 T1, 1:42 T2), showing crisp execution getting on and off the bike. The bike leg was the standout of the day averaging roughly 16.2 mph over the ~24.5-mile course in 1:30:41, a strong showing of sustained power and control on two wheels. The run, covering just over six miles in 1:08:03, saw a gradual fade in the closing miles compared to the earlier pace off the bike. Finishing in 3:05:40, this was about 18 minutes slower than his 2024 Spudman result of 2:47:24. Building more consistent run strength off the bike could help close that gap and bring the overall time back down toward his previous mark.
