Strong Bike Leg Powers Solid Sprint Debut Moriah Jenkins made her first appearance in the Sprint distance this year, transitioning after two consecutive Olympic-distance finishes in 2024 and 2025. Her bike leg was a highlight, covering roughly 12.45 miles at an average speed near 15 mph, a segment where she also posted her best position of the day (2nd in her division at the first bike split). The swim was efficient, and her T1 was quick, showing solid transition execution to start the race. Her run pace settled in later stages, with early running splits stronger than the finishing miles. Overall, Moriah placed 31st in her 30-39 division among a competitive field of 570 finishers. Building more run endurance late in the leg could help her close gaps she showed early in the bike and swim.
