Strong Mid-Bike Surge Fuels Steady Olympic-Distance Effort Nolan Woolf, 13, of Herriman, UT, completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 4:24:14, placing 28th in the Male 1-19 division. He opened with a 0.86-mile swim in 29:55, riding the Snake River's current before a smooth transition onto the bike course. The bike leg was Nolan's standout segment. Between miles 8.8 and 14.4, he averaged roughly 12 mph, then accelerated further to about 13 mph over the next 4.6 miles a surge that temporarily lifted him to 341st overall, his best placement of the race. He carried that strength through T2 and into the run, settling into a consistent pace near 15:30 per mile across the 6.2-mile course. The final stretch showed solid composure, closing with a strong final push to the finish line and capping off a well-executed Olympic-distance performance.
