Young Athlete Delivers a Balanced, Strong Performance Across All Three Legs Ammon Gibby put together a well-rounded sprint triathlon effort, finishing 51st overall out of 570 participants and 9th in his competitive division. His swim was steady, followed by a smooth transition into a standout bike leg where he averaged nearly 15.7 mph, showing strong power and consistency over the ride. That segment allowed him to move up significantly in the standings, climbing from the 100s in early positioning to a top-60 overall placement by the bike's end. He carried that momentum into the run, posting a pace close to 8:07 per mile, which helped him close out the race with authority, moving up several more spots in the final miles. With efficient transitions and a bike leg that stood out as the highlight of the day, Ammon's race reflects strong all-around development, particularly in cycling power and closing speed on the run.
