Powerful Mid-Race Bike Surge Highlights Olympic Finish Tyler Williams completed the Olympic Triathlon in 2:49:23, placing 304th overall among 1,987 finishers and 10th in his non-competitive division. His bike leg stood out, averaging roughly 18.4 mph across 24.4 miles. A standout mid-ride stretch saw him surge to nearly 20.8 mph, a segment strong enough to move him into the top 100 male athletes at that point in the race a clear high point of his day. Off the bike, Tyler settled into a steady run, opening with an 8:14 mile before gradually easing pace over the closing miles to finish with a 59:12 split. His transitions were efficient, with T1 and T2 combining for under eight minutes. Working on sustaining that early run intensity through the final stretch could be a good area of focus going forward.
