Fast Start in the Water Sets the Tone Before a Tough Bike Stretch Claire Bennion opened her sprint triathlon with a strong swim, exiting the water in 17:44 and climbing to 27th among women and 6th in her 15-19 division after transition an early highlight of her race. She carried solid momentum onto the bike, holding a top-4 divisional position through the first few miles at a brisk pace near 13.6 mph average, before gradually slipping in the standings across the back half of the 12.45-mile ride, finishing bike splits in 55:07. The run, covering roughly 3.11 miles in 38:01, saw a similar pattern a manageable early pace before settling around 12:13 per mile through the finish. Claire crossed the line in 1:56:13, placing 93rd among 570 women and 22nd in her division. Her swim strength stands out as a real asset to build from, while consistent pacing across the bike and run could bring her overall time down in future events.
