Strong Swim and Bike Split Power a Solid Olympic Finish Jeremy Christensen turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance, highlighted by a standout swim that placed him 201st overall and 16th in his division exiting the water. He carried that momentum onto the bike, holding a strong 17.9 mph pace across the course and climbing into the top 150 in his gender group by the final bike checkpoint a clear sign of consistent power output through two transitions. The run proved more challenging to sustain, with pacing dropping from a solid 8:49 opening mile to an 1112 minute per mile clip over the final miles. This late fade cost him some placements he'd earned on the bike, finishing 398th overall and 20th in the competitive 50-54 age group. Building targeted run endurance work, especially for maintaining pace in the closing miles, could help him convert his strong swim-bike combination into an even stronger finish next time.
