A Steady Swim, Strong Bike Surge, and Determined Finish Renee Frisby completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:41:02, showing a well-paced swim before settling into a bike leg that averaged roughly 14 mph across nearly 24 miles. A standout stretch came around mile 14 of the ride, where she surged to a blistering 3:24-per-mile split pace the fastest sustained effort of her bike leg before settling back into a steady rhythm through the remaining miles. The run proved more challenging, with her per-mile pace gradually climbing from an opening 13:14 to just under 16 minutes by the final stretch. Still, Renee found another gear in the closing meters, closing out the race with a sharp 5:08 pace over the last tenth of a mile. Compared to her 2022 Spudman finish of 2:54:11, this year's race marked a slower overall time, suggesting room to rebuild bike-to-run transition speed and sustain earlier run pacing deeper into the course.
