Swim Speed Leads the Way in a Balanced Sprint Effort Kathryn Meador opened her race with a standout swim, clocking 15:57 to sit 40th overall, 14th among women, and 4th in her 30-39 division a strong start that set a high bar for the rest of the race. She carried solid momentum into the bike leg, averaging roughly 14.2 mph over the course, though her overall position eased back to 130th as faster cyclists moved through the field. T2 proved lengthy at 7:43, contributing to a drop in placement before the run. On the run, Meador settled into a steady rhythm, holding paces in the 12-minute range for most of the 5K before closing strong with a quick final push. She finished in 1:57:03, placing 217th overall and 101st among women. With such a sharp swim in her toolkit, tightening transition time could be a great next step to bring overall results closer to her early pace.
