A Powerful Bike Leg Fuels a Solid Olympic Debut Analise Johnson turned in a strong overall showing at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, highlighted by a standout bike leg. She covered the bike portion at an average of roughly 12.2 mph, with several stretches pushing well beyond thathitting speeds near 14 mph during the middle miles, a segment where she climbed into the top 500 overall. Her swim was steady, covering just under a mile in the Snake Rivers current. The run proved to be the toughest part of her day, settling into a pace near 20:45 per mile across the 10K, which allowed her final overall placement to slip to 1477th out of 1987 finishers (457th among women). Given the strength she showed on the bike, incorporating more run-specific endurance work could help her carry that same intensity off the bike and into the run for a more balanced finish next time.
