Steady Pacing and a Strong Bike Leg Drive a Solid Olympic Finish Price Morris turned in a well-balanced Olympic-distance performance, finishing in 2:56:12 and placing 414th overall out of 1,987 finishers. His swim was efficient, and he transitioned quickly into a bike leg that stood out as the highlight of his dayaveraging roughly 15 mph over the course, a strong showing that moved him well up the field by the time he reached T2. The run leg saw Morris settle into a rhythm, holding pace in the mid-7:00s per mile for most of the distance before finishing strong with a final mile close to 6:23 pace. That late surge suggests he had more in reserve throughout the run and could look to distribute effort more evenly next time to potentially negative-split earlier.
