Steady Effort Across All Three Disciplines Highlights a Well-Rounded Olympic Finish Kevin Dow, 68, of Boise, completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:34:25, finishing 1071st overall out of 1987 participants and 800th among men. His race showcased balanced execution across the swim, bike, and run legs, with a particularly strong swim leg that placed him 529th overall and 397th among menan early highlight that set a solid foundation for the rest of his race. On the bike, Kevin averaged approximately 16.2 mph over the 24.4-mile course, maintaining consistent effort through the middle miles. His run leg settled into a steady rhythm, holding paces in the 12-minute-mile range for the majority of the 6.2-mile course. Transition times were on the longer side, particularly T1, which may be an area to streamline in future races. Overall, this was a solidly paced, well-managed Olympic-distance effort.
