Steady Bike Power Fuels a Comeback Performance Josh Daniels turned in a strong all-around effort at this year's Olympic-distance race, finishing in 3:30:02 a solid rebound from his 2025 time of 3:36:23. He exited the water in 29:13 and moved through T1 in 5:50 before settling into the bike course, where he covered the roughly 24-mile ride at an efficient 15.2 mph pace, clearly his strongest leg of the day. That bike effort helped him climb significantly through the field, jumping into the 800s overall from his post-swim position in the 1,300s. The run leg covered just over 6 miles in 1:14:57, capping off a race that, while not quite matching his personal best years of 2022 and 2023, showed marked improvement over last season. With a well-paced bike and a respectable transition time, Josh has a clear foundation to build from particularly if he looks to sharpen his run split in future races to match the strength he's shown on two wheels.
