A Strong Bike Leg Powers a Solid Olympic Finish Tate Harris capped off the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:05:49, finishing 622nd overall out of 1,987 athletes and 48th in the competitive 25-29 men's division. After a steady swim, Tate transitioned onto the bike course and quickly found his rhythm, climbing as high as 191st overall during a mid-course surge where he averaged over 20 mph for several consecutive miles. His overall bike split averaged roughly 16.9 mph, a strong showing that moved him up significantly in the standings. On the run, Tate opened with a sharp 9:19 first mile before settling into a steady low-10:00 pace for the remainder of the 10K. While his run cadence dipped slightly in the middle miles, he maintained consistent effort through the finish, closing out a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance with a bike leg that stood out as the highlight of his day.
