Sixteen Minutes Faster: A Season of Steady Gains Piper Lancaster returned to the Olympic-distance course and shaved nearly sixteen minutes off her previous finish, crossing the line in 3:12:41. Her swim came in at 25:51, and she moved efficiently through T1 in 4:32 before settling into a strong bike leg, averaging roughly 16 mph over the 24.5-mile ride. That bike split alone improved on last year's pace and set her up well for the run. Her run leg covered the closing miles in 1:07:46, a solid effort that helped her climb from 324th to 147th among female finishers year-over-year. Transitions were tight throughout, with T2 completed in just 2:23. Piper's overall placement of 738th out of 1,987 finishers reflects consistent pacing across all three disciplines. Building further run speed off the bike could be a good focus for continued improvement in future races.
