Strong Bike Split Powers Solid Sprint Finish Atticus Benson completed the Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:02:04, finishing 260th overall out of 570 participants, 134th among men, and 32nd in the competitive 20-29 age group. His swim leg covered just over half a mile in 19:17, followed by a swift T1 transition of 4:55. The bike leg was a highlight of his race covering roughly 12.45 miles in 1:01:06, translating to an average speed of about 12.2 mph, showing solid strength on two wheels. After a brief 3:51 T2, Benson closed out the race with a 3.11-mile run in 32:58, averaging around 10:36 per mile. His pacing was fairly consistent through the run, with only slight fluctuations in the final miles. Overall, this was a well-rounded performance, with the bike segment standing out as his strongest discipline. Building more run speed off the bike could help him climb further in future results.
