Steady Swim and Strong Bike Power Anchor a Consistent Olympic Finish Daniel opened with a smooth 22:15 swim, then moved through a brisk 5:31 T1. On the bike, he averaged roughly 16.5 mph across the 23-mile course, showing consistent power that carried him into a strong mid-pack position. His 3:50 T2 was efficient, setting up the run with minimal time lost in transition. The run settled into a steady rhythm, covering the 6.2-mile course in 1:09:27. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish (3:00:08), Daniel's 2026 time of 3:05:36 was slightly slower overall, but he actually improved his competitive standingfinishing 503rd among men versus 618th last year, and 45th in his division compared to 60th previouslyreflecting a stronger field this time around. Building a bit more durability late in the run could help him convert his solid bike fitness into an even faster finish next season.
