Steady Bike Effort Anchors a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Justin Higgins completed the Olympic-distance race in 3:25:36, finishing 959th overall out of 1,987 participants and 739th among male competitors. His swim covered 0.86 miles, transitioning into a bike leg where he covered 24.39 miles at an average speed of roughly 15.1 mph, showing consistent power especially over the middle miles where he moved up over 180 overall positions by the midpoint of the ride. The run leg, covering just over six miles, settled into an average pace near 11:30 per mile, with a strong closing kick as his final split showed a sub-6-minute mile pace to the finish. Justin held a top-100 position within the non-competitive division for much of the race, ultimately finishing 70th in that group. Fine-tuning transition times, which took a combined 8:19, could help trim a few extra minutes off future results.
