Steady Pacing and a Strong Bike Leg Drive a Solid Olympic Finish Benjamin Crockett completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:49:03, finishing 298th overall out of 1,987 and 17th in the competitive 45-49 Male division. His swim was efficient, and he transitioned quickly through T1 in just 4:18. The bike leg was a clear highlight, covering roughly 24.4 miles at an average speed near 18.4 mph, a pace that moved him up significantly in the standings by the end of the ride. T2 was crisp at under two minutes, setting up a run split of 57:50. His run pace settled in the 9:20-9:45 range per mile for most of the course, with a strong final kick in the last tenth of a mile at a 3:46 pace. Overall, Crockett's race showed strong bike strength and consistent effort across all three disciplines, rounding out a well-executed Olympic-distance performance.
