Powerful Bike Leg Highlights Steady Olympic Debut Caleb turned in a strong swim, exiting the water in 21:42 and sitting 367th overallan encouraging start to his day. He carried that momentum onto the bike, riding the 24.5-mile course in 1:25:45, averaging roughly 17.1 mph and climbing as high as 167th overall during the middle miles. Transitions were crisp too, with a 3:31 T1 and a snappy 2:20 T2, both among the faster splits in his age division. The run proved to be the toughest leg of the day, with his pace gradually slowing from 10:29 to over 12:00 per mile by the final miles, dropping him to 586th overall by the finish. Still, finishing 14th in the 1-19 Solo Male division for an Olympic-distance event is a solid result. Building run endurance to better match his swim and bike strength could be a great focus for future training blocks.
