Consistent Bike Effort Fuels a Determined Sprint Finish Brittany Brassell turned in a well-paced Sprint Triathlon effort in Bountifuls home state race, highlighted by a strong overall bike leg. Riding at roughly 10.5 mph, she moved up significantly during the middle portion of the courseclimbing into the top 100 among female finishers at one pointbefore settling back into the 200s by the bikes end. This mid-ride surge shows real strength on sustained efforts and is worth building on for future races. The run proved to be the tougher half of her day, as her position gradually slipped from where she stood exiting the bike. Shoring up run fitness off the bike could help her hold onto those hard-earned gains from the cycling leg. Overall, Brittany finished 215th among 570 women, a solid result that reflects a strong bike foundation to build from.
