Steady Pacing and a Powerful Bike Leg Drive a Strong Finish Caity Brassell turned in a well-rounded performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing 187th overall out of 570 and 20th in her 119 Female division. Her swim was solid, but it was the bike leg where she truly shinedcovering the 12.45-mile course at an impressive 14.26 mph, a split strong enough to move her from 399th to 144th overall at one point during the ride. Coming off the bike, Caity maintained composure through a swift transition and settled into a consistent run, holding paces in the 9:3010:00 range for most of the 5K before closing with a strong final surge. She climbed from 303rd to 187th overall over the course of the run, a clear sign of solid endurance and smart pacing. With her bike strength as a foundation, focusing on run consistency could help her close even more ground in future races.
