Strong Bike Surge Fuels Solid Olympic-Distance Finish True Searle completed the Olympic triathlon in 2:49:18, finishing 301st overall and 22nd in the men's 19-24 division. His swim came in at 21:26, followed by a 6:11 T1. On the bike, he covered the course at an average of roughly 18.6 mph, with a notable acceleration in the middle milesdropping to near 3:00/mile pace by miles 13-17 after starting closer to 3:49/mile, showing strong power development as the ride progressed. After a swift 2:51 T2, Searle settled into the run, holding a steady 9:30-9:50/mile pace across the 10K to close out the race in 1:00:01. His even run splits suggest solid pacing discipline after two hard efforts. Moving forward, working on a faster start to the bike leg could help him carry that late-ride speed throughout the full segment.
