Local Athlete Delivers a Strong, Steady Sprint Performance Charles Christensen, racing in his hometown of Burley, completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:14:42, finishing 348th overall and 38th in the Mens 30-39 division. His swim covered 0.61 miles in 27:13, transitioning into a bike leg where he covered roughly 12.45 miles in 58:13 an average speed of about 12.8 mph. Notably, he surged during the middle portion of the bike course, climbing as high as 186th overall at one point before settling into the back half of the ride. The run leg saw Charles cover just over 3 miles in 35:32, with his pace holding relatively steady before tapering slightly in the final miles. His T1 took 10:42, while T2 was a much quicker 3:03, reflecting sharp focus heading into the run. Compared to his 2024 Olympic-distance finish at Spudman, this sprint showed a more compact, controlled effort a good showing on home turf.
