Strong Bike Leg Anchors Solid Sprint Performance Caroline turned in a standout bike leg, briefly holding the overall lead early in the ride and averaging roughly 18.2 mph, a pace that ranked third in her division for the segment. Her swim was equally sharp, exiting the water 5th overall and 2nd among women, followed by a lightning-fast T1 that ranked 2nd overall. The run told a different story, as she slipped from 7th overall off the bike to 58th by the finish, with pacing settling into the 1213 minute range per mile in the closing miles. Compared to her previous two Spudman results1:23:32 in 2024 and 1:26:03 in 2025, both division winsthis race marks a step back, finishing 3rd in her 50-59 division. Building run endurance late in the race could help her reclaim the front of the pack next season.
