Consistent and Strong Finish with Accelerating Pace Eric Zivic demonstrated remarkable consistency in pacing throughout the 2026 Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon, maintaining an impressive average pace of 6:38 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course. Despite starting with a swift 6:30 min/mile, he settled into a steady rhythm, maintaining near-uniform splits until mile 7. A notable acceleration in the latter part of the race, with mile 11 clocked in at 6:25 min/mile, showcased Eric's endurance and strategy. Ending with a final time of 1:26:56, Eric achieved very commendable positions: 17th overall, 15th among men, and 4th in his M40-44 division out of 2,211 participants. To enhance future performances, a steady pace during miles 6 to 8 could bring further gains.
