Steady and Strong Performance Chris Gregory demonstrated impressive consistency at the 2026 Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon. He maintained a stable pace with an overall elapsed pace of 5:48 per mile across the 13.1-mile course. Chris clocked a notable total time of 1:16:06. Early in the race, he secured a strong position, starting in 3rd overall and then effectively moving into 2nd place by mile 2. Chris excelled within his division, confidently taking 1st place in the M35-39 category. The highlight was his strategic acceleration during the 9th mile split, clocking a swift 5:35, which was a significant 0:14 seconds faster than his average pace. Maintaining consistent paces throughout most splits, including a strong finish with a final mile of 5:44, emphasized his solid endurance and pacing strategy.
