Consistent Start, Tactical Finish The Half Marathon relay team from Valencia demonstrated a strong start with consistent pacing in the early miles. The team maintained a remarkable 6:15 min/mile pace in their first mile, placing them 2nd overall through the first six miles. Their early splits showed steady performance with slight increases, achieving a 6:44 min/mile pace by the third mile and holding steady through mile six. As the race progressed, the team's pace understandably decreased. They experienced a notable change at mile seven, where the split pace shifted to 9:56 min/mile, marking a transition in their strategy. From there, they finished the race with an overall pace of 7:57 min/mile, ranking 6th in their gender category. Finishing strong in a field of 309 runners, the team solidified an overall time of 1:44:12. Maintaining focus on second half pacing could further improve overall standings in future events.
