Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish Miller and Miller showed impressive pacing in the 2026 Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon. They completed the half marathon relay with a final time of 1:49:55, which translates to an average pace of 8:23 min/mile. After starting at a moderate 9:19 min/mile pace, they increased speed consistently with every mile. Particularly noteworthy were their splits in miles 8 and 9, both clocking in at a swift 7:34 min/mile pace. This consistent improvement was capped off with an outstanding final mile, completed in 7:02 min/mile. The team finished 22nd overall out of 309 participants and ranked 15th in their gender category. Their ability to progressively quicken their pace throughout the race is commendable.
