Consistent Start, Finish with Determination Nicholas Thomson showed strong pacing consistency in the early stages of the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. His first 5-mile splits were below 9:30 min/mile, peaking in performance at Mile 3 with a 9:04 pace. Nicholas found his stride in the M35-39 division, advancing from 139th to 126th place by Mile 2, demonstrating excellent initial strategy and execution. Pacing became more challenging from Mile 6 onwards, where split times gradually increased, and Mile 8 marked his slowest pace at 12:14 min/mile. However, he demonstrated resilience and regained a sub-10-minute pace by Miles 10 and 13. Overall, Nicholas completed the half marathon with a respectable finish time of 2:09:05, with an average pace of 9:51 min/mile.
