Strong Finish with Impressive Split Acceleration Yan Ni from Portland, OR, showed remarkable pacing strategy in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Displaying consistent improvement throughout the race, Yan maintained a commendable average pace of 7:40 min/mile. Notably, Yan improved her position significantly over the early miles of the race. From the initial mile pace of 8:03 min/mile, she picked up her pace, reaching a swift 7:13 min/mile by mile 12, demonstrating excellent stamina and pacing capacity. Yans overall race time of 1:40:38 secured her the 12th position in the F35-39 division, out of 4421 participants. While the mid-race splits at miles 5, 6, and 7 saw a slight decrease in pace, she managed to make a strong recovery, including a final mile pace of 7:06 min/mile. There is potential for further improvement by focusing on maintaining steady pacing throughout each split. Excellent work representing Team TORCH!
