Consistency with Strong Division Performance Zailong Bian demonstrated impressive consistency throughout the race, maintaining a steady pace with split times mostly under 8 minutes per mile. He showed remarkable control, evident in maintaining an 8:04 min/mile overall, with the fastest mile recorded at 7:32 min/mile during Mile 12. His excellent performance in the early portions had him holding the first place in his division at Miles 2 and 3. Despite slight fluctuations, Zailong effectively managed his position, securing 19th in the M50-54 division. Notably, he gained significant ground in Place Overall, finishing in 638th position among 4421 participants. Sustaining a strong pace until the end highlights his endurance, concluding the Shamrock Run Fest with a final time of 1:45:41. For future races, maintaining the energy demonstrated in the early miles might help in closing even stronger, particularly during the latter stages where split paces varied.
