Consistent Start Despite a Challenging Mid-Race Saket Kumar displayed a solid pace at the beginning of the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest half marathon. He maintained a pace of under 10 minutes per mile for the first few miles, notably achieving his best split at mile two with a 9:46 minute/mile pace. He found himself holding steady in the M40-44 division around the 105th spot initially, demonstrating a strong start and control. However, around the midpoint, there was a noticeable dip in pacing, with the pace slowing to 12:12 min/mile at mile eight. Despite this mid-race slowdown, Saket managed to regain a faster pace towards the end, finishing with a 10:02 minute/mile for mile ten. The final finish time was 2:16:12, placing him 184th in his division. Focusing on maintaining even energy distribution could refine performance in future races. Overall placement was 2601 out of 4421 participants, showing a commendable effort in a large field.
