Strong Start, Consistent Middle, and a Big Finish Ning Zhou from Vancouver, WA, delivered a notable performance in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Throughout the race, Ning maintained a consistent pace around 9:41 to 10:02 min/mile until mile 11, showcasing her endurance and pacing skills. Her strongest start came in the first mile with an impressive split pace of 9:54 min/mile, placing first in her F55-59 division at that point. Though there was a slowdown in the last mile, with a split pace of 16:24 min/mile, Ning completed the race with an overall pace of 10:33 min/mile. Particularly noteworthy is her ability to remain consistent despite the fluctuations in her division placements. As a member of Team TORCH, her efforts contributed significantly to the team's performance. With these consistent split paces, greater focus on maintaining energy and pace towards the closing stages could enhance future performances.
