Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Patrick Hunt showcased exceptional consistency and strong pacing throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Starting with a brisk 5:28 min/mile in the first mile, he maintained a tight range of paces between 5:23 and 5:48 min/mile across the 13.1-mile course. Notably, Patrick achieved the fastest split in mile 10 with an impressive 5:09 min/mile, finishing with an overall elapsed time of 1:11:58. Patrick secured first place in his M20-24 division. Although there was a slight slowdown during mile 8 with a 6:25 min/mile, he quickly rebounded with a strong second half, particularly in miles 10 and 13, showing an effective use of strategy and energy conservation. Despite the slight variation, his performance placed him 6th overall out of 4,421 participants, reflecting strong competitive capabilities. Continuing to work on even pacing and maintaining energy in the middle segments could further enhance his race strategy.
