Strong Mid-Race Acceleration and Steady Finish Naveen Puligundla competed in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest half marathon, showcasing a strategic pacing approach. Beginning with a 13:46 min/mile, he accelerated to a remarkable 3:41 min/mile split in mile 3 a standout moment in his performance. His mid-race speed on the third split could be utilized to support training for even pacing in future races. Throughout the latter miles, Naveen maintained an equitable pace, finishing with a consistent 9:51 min/mile average. His final time was 2:09:07, placing him 1,492nd among male competitors and 162nd in his division (M40-44). As part of the Roll.Run.Walk team, his race strategy capitalized on a strong mid-race burst. Future focus on pacing consistency, particularly in the later stages, could enhance overall performance. Excellent effort on staying within a steady range for the majority of the race!
