Steady Improvement and Strong Finish in Half Marathon Marcel began the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon at a pace of 8:55 min/mile, initially holding 932nd place overall. His most significant leap occurred between miles 1 and 2, where his pace improved to 8:39 min/mile, advancing him to 753rd place overall. A notable drop was observed in mile 3 with a 9:07 min/mile split, but this was quickly countered by a more consistent effort in the following miles, keeping him well within the top half of male participants. His remarkable closing kilometers showcased his stamina and ability to accelerate, notably finishing the last 4 miles with his fastest paces: 8:04, 7:52, 7:59, and 7:51 min/mile.
