Consistent Splits with a Strong Finish Kelly Gierman from Portland, running for Rock Creek Run Club, maintained a consistent effort in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Her pacing started strong, with the fastest split at mile 10, completing it in 10:05. Notably, Gierman's placements at miles 1 and 2 showed an improvement, moving from 686th to 586th among females. These early 10:22 and 10:33 paces demonstrated a solid start with minimal deviation in the first half. In the latter part of the race, some splits such as the 8th mile, clocked at 14:07, presented a challenge. However, Kelly admirably managed to conclude the race on a positive note; the last two miles showed improved pacing with 11:06 and 10:43 splits. She kept a consistent average pace of 11:10 min/mile throughout the race. An impactful finish ahead of other racers like in mile 13 can positively influence future performances.
