Steady Start with a Strong Finish Gage Seber from Portland, OR, successfully completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Beginning with an 8:43 min/mile pace, he showed consistent improvement in the early stages, achieving his fastest split at mile 2 with an 8:19 min/mile pace. His performance was notable for maintaining an elapsed pace of 8:53 min/mile throughout the 13.1-mile course. In the latter stages of the race, Gage experienced a few slower miles, particularly between miles 7 and 8, where his pace dropped to 9:55 min/mile. However, he recovered impressively, finishing strong with a sub-8 min/mile pace at mile 10. His final time stood at 1:56:32. For future races, assessing pacing strategies particularly during mid-race segments might help maintain initial momentum.
