A Consistent Pace with Room for Speed Check Kelsey Menolascina executed an admirable race at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, maintaining an overall pace of 8:45 min/mile. Starting strong, Kelsey posted an impressive 8:07 min/mile on her second mile, showcasing her potential for quicker bursts. Although her pace slowed to 9:27 min/mile by the sixth mile, she managed to pick it back up towards the end, closing with a strong 8:34 min/mile in the final stretch. Her performance was solid with a finish time of 1:54:47, placing her 65th out of 123 in the F25-29 division. It's notable that she consistently remained competitive within her age group. To improve, focus on maintaining and possibly accelerating that early momentum in the latter half of the race. Training programs that emphasize endurance and speed consistency could be beneficial, allowing her to better sustain the pace during mid to later stages of future events.
