She maintained a similar pace for the second mile, clocking a 12:49 and keeping her within striking distance despite dropping slightly in overall placement. The third mile saw a strategic slowdown to a 14:25 pace, allowing for recovery, which positively impacted her ranking as she placed 249th in her division by the end of that mile. Carlee concluded her race with a strong performance, finishing with an average pace of 13:28 min/mile over the nearly 5-mile distance.
