Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Wilson Bingham, representing the Bend Over Run Club, showcased impressive consistency in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest half marathon. Maintaining an average pace of 7:45 min/mile, Wilson tackled the course over 13.1 miles, completing the race in 1:41:38. He navigated the race from 338th overall at the first mile to 445th by the end, amidst a field of 4,421 participants. While there was a slight deceleration between miles 6 and 8, where paces were 8:13 and 8:47 min/mile respectively, Wilson recovered well with a robust pace of 7:19 min/mile at the 10th mile. This strong finish positively impacted the final result. Future efforts may benefit from maintaining that mid-race speed during the next attempt, potentially advancing those overall and division placements further.
