Impressive Mid-Race Surge Elevates Performance Jacob demonstrated impressive consistency throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, maintaining a steady average pace of 7:45 per mile over the 13.1-mile course. A standout performance occurred between miles 2 and 3, where his split pace was an impressive 5:41 per mile, marking a rapid position climb in the field from 389th to 129th overall. This surge resulted in an advantageous placement of 12th within the M20-24 division during that segment. The race ended with Jacob finishing in a time of 1:41:31. Notably, the latter segments showed slight pacing variation, with the final miles consistently under an 8-minute mile pace. Possible improvements could be made by focusing on maintaining the early race momentum in the final stages.
