Consistent Splits Led to a Strong Finish Rowan Solovitz delivered an admirable performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest in Portland, OR, achieving a total time of 1:39:10 for the Half Marathon distance of 13.1 miles. Performing steadily throughout the race, Rowan maintained an average pace of 7:34 min/mile. Notably strong splits included the final mile, where Rowan excelled with a swift 6:32 min/mile pace, securing a 5th place finish in the M15-19 division out of 4421 participants. Starting with an 8:02 min/mile pace, Rowan impressively increased his speed, particularly in miles 4 to 12, maintaining sub-8:00 paces. Despite a slight dip during mile 8 at 8:37 min/mile, Rowan quickly regained speed. Consistent placement in the top 7 of the M15-19 division exhibits his competitive focus. While performance was commendable, closely monitoring pacing consistency, especially in the later stages, could further enhance future results. Keep focusing on your strengths!
