Consistent Middle Splits with a Strong Finish In the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest presented by Toyota, Ashley Williams completed the Half Marathon in 1:54:21 with an overall pace of 8:43 min/mile. Wisely starting with splits of 8:22 min/mile and gradually settling into a consistent rhythm, Williams maintained an efficient average pace throughout the race. Notably, they ended the race with impressive energy, clocking mile 13 in a swift 7:58 min/mile split. Williams achieved 24th place in the M55-59 division out of considerable competition in a field of 4,421 participants. The race saw shifts in position, starting at 15th in the division early on and adjusting through the race, highlighting well-managed energy conservation and pacing strategy. Fine-tuning consistency in early race pacing and slight speed improvements from miles 4 to 6 could enhance overall performance. Nevertheless, the overall performance is commendable.
