Consistent Start, Strong Finish Will Fleming from Beaverton delivered a solid performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest half marathon. Maintaining a steady pace initially, Will completed the first mile at 8:48 min/mile, gradually improving his position in the division. The first half of the race had him hovering around consistent split times, notable with a slight dip in pace to the 9:00 and 9:10 min/mile range between miles 4 and 5. Although he briefly slowed at the 7-mile mark, with a 10:17 min/mile split, Will showed impressive resilience towards the end. The final push saw him increase his speed once more, hitting his fastest split of 8:13 min/mile at mile 10 and finishing strong at 8:23 min/mile for the last mile. The ability to finish with a better pace than the mid-race splits reflects strong strategic recovery. With development in maintaining mid-race momentum, further improvement seems attainable.
