Consistency and Pace Improvement Define Performance Cameron showed a remarkable ability to improve pace as the race progressed, ending with an overall time of 1:59:17 for the half marathon at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest presented by Toyota. Starting with a 14:37 min/mile pace for the first mile, Cameron improved steadily, with significant gains by mile 3, clocking in at a 3:58 min/mile pace. This strategic pace adjustment contributed to a final average pace of 9:06 min/mile. Notably, Cameron's placement in his division, M20-24, fluctuated, peaking at 42nd early on, but he managed to secure 133rd by the finish. Cameron was able to outperform many fellow competitors by mile 12, reaching 1500th overall and finishing strong in 1549th place overall out of 4421 participants. His strategic effort in the final miles, with an 8:21 min/mile pace in the last two miles, demonstrates strong endurance and determination. While Cameron maintained a consistent pace, focusing on the middle miles could further enhance his performance.
